In the past I had people inquiring about the conditions on the Wonderland enough to warrant heading out in June and/or July to check on snow levels. As we enter 2020 I find that these updates are no longer needed; there are myriad sources available now to gather information for anyone’s upcoming hike. I must say I got great pleasure out of doing those updates, though, and sort of miss the process. I am now retired and anticipating extensive travel with my spouse, at least for the next few years, but we plan on returning to the PNW for a good part of the summer every year. I anticipate more Wonderland hikes over the coming years. My last count is 31, so here’s to #32 and beyond. I have a special kinship with this park and can’t imagine not continuing my forays here.
