Annual Compilations

Although I have discontinued purpose Wonderland updates, the viewer may find it informative to see what the prior season conditions were from spring to late fall. These posts will take different forms depending on my yearly jaunts. If you are interested in specific Wonderland Trail posts, check the pulldown “Wonderland Trail” menu; as of this writing there are ones from 2007, 2009, 2020 (#32), 2021 (#33), 2022 (#34), 2023 (#35), and #’s 36 and 37 in 2024 in a pseudo YoYo. Otherwise, enjoy these compilations that will range over myriad areas of the park and provide an intimate viewing experience of various times of the year.

Mt. Rainier 2025 Compilation

It was an active year in the park for me, logging 766 miles with 149,600’ elevation. I finished 3 Wonderland circuits this year, so in compiling this video I attempted to provide different shots from these trips for variety. I logged one ski trip (Inter Glacier), a number of bike outings, be it a full RAMROD, leg stretchers or positioning for hikes, one climb (Naches Peak) and the rest hikes. I spent a total of 10 nights camping. For comparison, YTD (Oct) I have logged 520 hiking miles, 3,300 bike miles and 656 ski miles totaling over 706,000 vertical feet, so my Mt. Rainier excursions are a minor part of my all sport activites throughout the year.

Mt. Rainier 2024 Compilation

Although I spent much of the summer season (June and July) elsewhere, I had a good run of outings in the park. Whats included? An early season backcountry ski, the Western Loop, two Wonderland Trail hikes (CCW and CW), some outings for backcountry camp mapping, the seldom visited Storbo mine site, 6 peaks, the Northern Loop Trail, RAMROD, and an end of October overnight in the Tokaloo Alpine Zone. 2024 totals: 595 miles with 117,000’ vertical. Mt. Rainier 2023 Compilation

Although I had no activities in July or September due to travel and family commitments, I did manage to get in some quality trips, totaling 651 miles and 125,000' of vertical. Included are some peaks, skiing the Inter Glacier, the Northern Loop Trail, a 3 day Wonderland, RIMROBOD (Ride the Interior of Mt Rainier Out and Back in One Day), a number of additional rides and some hike/bike outings that took place in October. Please enjoy these abbreviated outings!

Mt. Rainier 2022 Compilation

This was a busy year so my forays into the park were fewer than 2021. Nonetheless, it was a good year with hiking (including Wonderland Trail #34), biking and skiing. Total stats: 376 miles/72,800’ vertical.

Mt. Rainier 2021 Compilation

This video compilation of all my activities at Mt. Rainier National Park in 2021 comprise 32% of the year's total distance (714 miles/2,230) and 46% of elevation (128,700'/280,687').
