Ride Three Climbs INside the Gates. Best I could do. On September 10th, 2026, I rode three classic climbs in Mt Rainier National Park, specifically inside the gates. I started at the Owyhigh Trailhead (White River entrance) and biked up to Sunrise, which was closed to non park vehicles but open for recreation due to fire mitigation efforts. All three climbs had similar stats, with the Sunrise climb at 2,800' and 24 miles. I then repositioned to Box Canyon with Climb 2 going up the Stevens Canyon Road (starting at noon) to Paradise and back (2,700' and 24 miles). Then I drove to Longmire and got in a quick dinner, mounting my bike at 5:40 PM and back to Paradise from that side (2,700' and 23 miles). Total stats for the day: 69 miles with 8,200' of climb/descent. Filmed in 4K, run time 11 minutes.
