One of the classic bike climbs in Washington State, this video includes an intro with the route from the east (Lone Fir Campground) to Bridge Creek trail head (at over 200 mph), followed by the bike portion. Segment 1 is Washington Pass (5477') traveling east toward Winthrop, and Segment 2 is Washington Pass west toward Rainy Pass, stopping at Bridge Creek trail head, 1000' below the pass. To film this I parked 11 miles to the east and climbed the 3100' to the pass, then back, afterwards driving to Bridge Creek trail head and climbed the 1000' and 3.5 miles to and from. Shoulders are adequate on this ride but sometimes rough, and trucks whiz by at over 60 mph, exercise the usual cautions riding this road. Music by williswall.
